FORUM: ACC's Annual Conference

FORUM 2009: October 26 to 28, 2009, in Denver, Colorado

This year FORUM will have a new schedule. The conference will open Monday, October 26, with an early evening reception in the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center adjacent to the Centennial Ballroom immediately followed by the Beacon Awards® Gala.

On Tuesday, FORUM 2009 will change venues, moving into the Colorado Convention Center, where all general, luncheon and breakout sessions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Additionally, registration for both FORUM and the Beacon Award Gala® will open Sunday, October 25 at the Cable Connection – Fall central registration area within the Colorado Convention Center.

ACC Member FORUM Registration Pricing*

April 1- September 23: $800
September 24 and later: $900

All of the above registration fees include one ticket to attend the Beacon Awards Gala on Monday, October 26, 2009. Additional tickets may be purchased for $150 each. You do not have to be a member to attend the Beacon Awards. *Individuals who are not currently ACC members must pay an additional $200 to attend FORUM 2009. For this fee, you will receive a one year membership in ACC.

FORUM is now part of “Cable Connection – Fall,” a consortium of 10 cable industry organizations that have joined together to hold events in the same city over the same general dates. Cable Connection – Fall will be held in Denver, Colorado from October 25 – 30, 2009.

During "Covering the Campaign - Cable's Impact on Presidential Politics", a FORUM 2008 general session, moderator Steve Effros and panelists Jim Fraenkel, executive producer and vice president, MTV News; Susan Gonzales, vice president, Comcast Foundation, Comcast Corporation; Jennifer Martin, Director of Public Relations, CNN; and Steve Scully, senior executive producer & political editor, C-SPAN discuss their company's voter initiatives and how they cover presidential elections. FORUM 2008: The View from the Top
In the opening general session of FORUM 2008, three top cable communications explored how digital media has changed their job day-to-day. Participants included Rosa Gatti, svp, corporate communications and outreach, ESPN, Inc.; Shirley Powell, svp, corporate communications, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., D'Arcy Rudnay, svp of corporate communications, Comcast Corporation; and moderator Vincent Crosbie, adjunct professor S.I. FORUM 2008 Video: Kyle McSlarrow's Cable Industry Outlook
In the Tuesday opening general session, Steve Effros, president, Effros Communications interviewed Kyle McSlarrow, president & CEO, National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) about the outlook for the cable industry. McSlarrow reviewed the current legislative and regulatory landscape and discussed how cable communicators can tell the industry's story.
